
Applications for Wellhead in Deserts and Remote Areas
Taking into account that no power can be provided in desert and remote areas, FST develops solar wellhead control panel that uses solar energy as driving source, reducing operating costs and maintenance costs.
The solar power system of solar wellhead control panel consists of three main components:solar module, charging voltage regulator and storage battery. The charging voltage regulator can prevent the battery from charging overload and eliminate nighttime reverse current from the battery to the solar module. The charging controller provides overcharging and over-discharge protection; the storage battery reserves electricity generated by the solar module during the daytime, which can be used at any time of rainy days or at night. The storage battery has different specifications to choose from.
Considering that it is difficult for the staff to operate wellhead inspections in desert and remote areas, this type of wells uses RTU remote control and monitoring, saving manpower and material resources.
The controlled objects of solar wellhead control panel include SCSSV and surface valve. In addition, it has features including local shutdown, remote shutdown, ESD station shutdown, fusible plug shutdown, as well as shutdown of high and low pressure pilot valve.
By using pneumatic pump or manual pump to provide power source. It is featured by compact structure, with safety and reliability.
For natural gas wells, it may also be designed into the system by using natural gas as power.
